THE DISAPPEARED.
ICE Detentions, Missing Persons, and the Collapse of Due Process in the U.S.
No hearings. No charges. No records. Just gone.
This is how people disappear in the United States. Not decades ago. Now.
They are taken from homes, hospitals, protests, and schools. ICE erases them from public records. There are no case numbers. No legal notices. Families search for weeks with no answers.
This is not immigration enforcement. It is political erasure.
And it’s getting worse.
WHAT'S HAPPENING
On March 15, 2025, a federal judge ruled that deportation without due process is unconstitutional. Due process is not a privilege. It is a right guaranteed by the United States Constitution.
That same day, 238 people were secretly flown to El Salvador. They were sent to CECOT, a military-controlled prison condemned by human rights groups. Most of them have not been heard from since.
Since then, disappearances have spread across the country:
ICE detainee locator entries are being deleted
Peaceful protesters are being detained without charges
Families are reporting loved ones missing in growing numbers
Administration officials have begun talking about deporting U.S. citizens
This is not isolated. This is systemic. If due process no longer applies, it can happen to anyone.

Tracking the Pattern
Family separation is not a relic of the past. It’s happening now.
We are documenting confirmed cases where parents have been detained or deported without their children.
This is the beginning of a national tracker.

FEATURED STORIES
The Disappeared: Beyond the List
Each name leads to a real person’s story. What we know. Where they were taken. What happened next.
